Initiate 48 gives you the tools, experience, and connections for building your own company. You will be exposed to exciting, passionate people, as well as the education you need to transform your idea into a reality.

The Workshops
Program Timetable
Over the course of 48 hours, attendees will pitch ideas, form teams and build startups with the guidance of Australia’s leading entrepreneurs. After the 48 hours, attendees will pitch their ideas to a panel of judges and compete for a set of prizes. Initiate 48 is more than just a seminar. It is an entirely hands-on experience where you will connect with mentors, make new friends, collaborate and create.

Q. Do I need to have any experience to join?Initiate 48 is perfect for complete beginners who wants to learn how to build their own business.Q. Do I need to be in a specific year to participate?There are no year requirements. All high school students from years 7-12 are encouraged to apply.Q. What can solutions be?In the past, we've had participants create a range of technological platforms (eg. apps), as well as physical products and prototypes, and sometimes even a combination of both! If you have an idea that doesn't fall into any of these categories, give it a try anyway because you just might be onto the next big thing!Q. Do my teammates and I need to be from the same school?For this Initiate 48, we recommend that you enter the competition with other members from your school. If you can't find others interested in joining this competition from your school, you are welcome to register as an individual and find your team at the start of the hackathon.
